Rothesay Pavilion

Elder and Cannon are currently on site with the redevelopment of Rothesay Pavilion on Bute following our completion of the in-depth study, community consultation, options appraisal, business case development and HLF funding application for the revitalisation of the prestigious building, one of the West of Scotland’s most significant pieces of modern architecture.

Design options for the 1938 ‘A’ Listed Art-Deco building were developed and an exciting package of new uses identified that will respect and enhance the building’s architectural and cultural significance, to become an enhanced asset to the community and critically, an economic driver to help deliver regeneration to Rothesay and the Isle of Bute.

The adaptive restoration now sees the incorporation of a café, crèche, function space, exhibition gallery, music venue and club, and office start-up facilities alongside the restoration and upgrade of the historic Dance Hall to a state of the art multi-use venue, all while maintaining the character of this historically and culturally significant building.
